Anti-US leftist clinches Bolivia election

LA PAZ, Bolivia (Reuters) - Evo Morales, a leftist former coca leaf farmer vowing to be a "nightmare for the U.S.," was poised to become Bolivia's first indigenous president on Sunday after likely clinching one of the biggest electoral victories in the country's history.

Morales appeared certain to take office in January when his rivals conceded defeat and results tabulated by local media showed him garnering slightly more than 50 percent of the vote, much higher than predicted.

EVO!!!! :-)

Peru, Ecuador, and Colombia, perhaps Paraguay too (we shall see what the U.S troops who were recently placed there are up to now that Evo won the vote...) still need a change of government! (not to mention the Central American countries...)

We shall also see how the U.S. will react to Evos victory.

Will they respect his victory and leave him alone, or will they try to discredit him and sabotage his government like they have been doing with Chavez in Venezuela, or will they invade as their troops are rather closeby. Time will tell.
